The Study of the Causes of Smuggling Goods and its Social & Cultural Consequences from the Point of View of Boushehri Citizens

The present study aimed to identify the most causes of smuggling goods and its social and cultural consequences from the point of view of Boushehri citizens. The research method used by the researchers was survey and the data were collected via a questionnaire made by the researchers. The gathered data then were analyzed by SPSS as well as some other statistical computations. From the point of view of the participants, the most important causes of smuggling were: profit making, the lengthy border of the country, and the police’s weak performances. Also the social and cultural consequences of smuggling were: tendency of some people to evade laws, increasing corruption in organization, bribery, and weakening of individuals’ identity in society
