Develop a Crisis Management Conceptual Model in Sporting Events Based on Thematic Analysis

The aim of this study was to develop a crisis management conceptual model in sports events based on thematic analysis. The present study was conducted within the framework of a qualitative approach and the required data were collected using semi-structured interviews. The population included all individuals and experts in the field of crisis management exercise, including sports management professors, experts and specialists in the departments of Youth and Sports was crisis management force. Purposeful sampling method was continued with snowball technique until theoretical saturation was achieved. In thematic analysis, the data obtained from deep and semi-structured interviews with experts were coded. Then, in two stages, the initial concepts were produced, in the first stage, 56 concepts were extracted from interviews with experts. These concepts in the second stage, for greater coherence and better analysis and interpretation in the form of 12 more abstract concepts under the headings of socio-cultural factors, financial factors, human resource organization, education, equipment, facilities, management factors, public relations, public relations, health And safety, productivity, human resource promotion were coded. In the next step, the 12 concepts generated in the secondary coding process were classified into 3 main categories or themes, including crisis management prerequisites in sporting events, and crisis management prerequisites in sporting events. Therefore, in order to manage the crisis, sufficient attention should be paid to these three general factors and the components of each of them. In this case, the crisis can be prevented or managed.
