The effectiveness of effective interpersonal communication skills training on marital reluctance of women with incompatible spouses
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of effective interpersonal communication skills training on marital reluctance of women with incompatible spouses in 2020-2021. The research design was a quasi-experimental pretest and posttest with a control group. The sample size was 40 people who were selected from the mentioned population by simple random method. 20 people were assigned to the experimental group and 20 people to the control group. During the eight sessions, the experimental group received 90 minutes of effective interpersonal communication skills training in each session. Multivariate and univariate analysis of covariance were used to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in terms of post-test dimensions of marital reluctance with pre-test control. Effective interpersonal communication skills training (by controlling the effect of pre-test as a co-opting factor on post-test) on increasing each dimension of marital reluctance including physical exhaustion (F = 13.43, P = 0.001 and 0.621 = Eta), emotional exhaustion (F = 21.54, P = 0.012 and Eta = 0.572) and mental exhaustion (F = 15.86, P = 0.002 and Eta = 0.645 ) Had a significant effect on the post-test stage. The most important results of this study are the effectiveness of effective interpersonal communication skills training on marital reluctance of women with incompatible spouses. Therefore, family counselors and psychologists are advised to take effective steps to maintain and improve the quality of women\'s marital life.
