Hermann Hesse and Poetry
Hermann Hesse, a German writer, poet and painter and winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, was born on July 2, 1877 in the city of Kahlo, located in Germany, in a cultured family.He lived until 1962 and during his 85-year-old life, he experienced ups and downs. He suffered mental crises and severe mental illnesses and tasted poverty, but despite all the problems, Hesse left more than 80 novels, collections of poems or books of short stories. He is mentioned as the most widely read German author of the 20th century.In addition to the Nobel Prize, he has won eight other literary prizes, including the Goethe World Prize.
