A Strategic Look at thriving at work: Identifying antecedents in the Employees of the General Department of Taxation of Semnan Province
The thriving at work strategies are important for preserving human capital, utilizing their latent capacities, and enhancing individual and organizational performance. Researchers are trying to identify the factors that can provide the basis for thriving at organizations. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the antecedents affecting employee thriving at work. The present study is a descriptive-correlational. The statistical sample of the study is 180 employees of the General Department of Taxation of Semnan Province who were selected by simple random sampling. Questionnaires and stepwise regression were used to collect data. The results of regression analysis in the final model showed that variables of Job autonomy, organizational trust, perceived organizational support, civility at workplace and proactive personality were significant predictors of thriving at work. Based on the results of the research, it can be stated that support and trust of the employees in addition to their autonomy, acting in a respectful and polite way with the employees and enhancing the spirit of ideation and innovation in them can lead the employees to thrive in the organization.
