Numerical calculation of energy states and oscillator strengths of quantum dot and quantum anti-dot at the presence of a magnetic field
In this study, we investigate the effect of magnetic field on energy states at the GaAs/〖Ga〗_(1-x) 〖Al〗_x As/GaAs quantum dot and the 〖Ga〗_(1-x) 〖Al〗_x As/GaAs/〖Ga〗_(1-x) 〖Al〗_x As quantum anti-dot. Based on the finite difference method numerical calculations show that the magnetic field effect on the energy states of quantum dots and quantum anti-dots is quite different. Also, using three types of linear polarization (LP), right circular polarization (RCP) and left circular polarization (LCP), the Oscillator strength for 1s→2p for the quantum dot and quantum anti-dot point at the presence of the magnetic field is calculated.
