Identifying effective indicators on economic education with entrepreneurship approach in primary education in North Khorasan region

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to identifying and designing the current status of educational components based on economic education with an entrepreneurial approach in elementary school. The present study was conducted using a mixed exploratory research design. In the qualitative part, the content analysis method was used with a directional approach and in the quantitative part, the descriptive survey method was used. Then, based on the obtained components, a 112-item questionnaire was constructed. The statistical sample in the quantitative section included 320 specialists in the fields of entrepreneurship and economics and curriculum and managers and deputies, education experts and faculty members with degrees in education in North Khorasan province. In order to analyze the data, confirmatory factor analysis method and structural equation modeling approach with Demetel technique were used. Findings from content analysis led to the design of an educational model based on economic education with an entrepreneurial approach with four dimensions: "individual and personal aspects, economic culture and ethics, economic concepts and causes and social skills" and 11 components. Findings showed that the measurement tool has factor validity. Also, the values related to estimating Cronbach's alpha coefficient in order to measure the internal correlation of basic themes were higher than 0.7, so the measuring tool related to these concepts had sufficient measurement accuracy. Therefore, based on the results, it can be stated that the inclusion of educational components based on economic education with an entrepreneurial approach can be useful in the economic education of elementary school students.
