Emerging spiritualities in contemporary Iran, despite the efforts of their leaders to maintain their religious image, they attack religiosity in many ways, one of the most important of which is obligationism. The emergence and spread of these spiritualities has a clear contrast with the duty-oriented nature of the Iranian Muslim society.
This research aims to analyze the fundamentals of homogenization in contemporary Iranian spiritualities and to criticize them. It showed the contrast of such spiritualities with the principle of religiosity and duty-oriented, and it was found that the efforts of contemporary Iranian spiritualists to deal with the principle of duty-oriented conflict with their claims of religiosity.
In this research, data were collected using a library method and data processing was done using a descriptive-analytical method with a critical approach.
The foundations of secular spiritualists, which inevitably lead to task avoidance in the three fields of anthropology, epistemology, and theology, include humanism, self-sufficiency of reason, and the historicity of religion. The most important criticisms that were made on the previous bases are the degradation of human existence, the relativization of values, the lack of precise explanation of the meanings of reason, the limitations of material and instrumental reason in determining human happiness and the way to achieve it, the lack of attention to the expansion of the concept of religion and the goals of the prophets.
Based on the present research, it was found that improving the level of awareness and insight of the people in the religious society of Iran, regarding the truth of modern spiritualities and the distance of these spiritualities from the religion of Islam, is the most important way to deal with the secular spiritualists of contemporary Iran.
