Beliefs Related to Chronological Criteria among the People of Ilam
From the beginning, human beings have been thinking of finding a way to measure different criteria of time such as day, month, etc. The divisions of time depend in part, on the rituals associated with the natural evolution of human life. The Kurds, like other ethnic groups, had special beliefs and criteria in accordance with their nature and living conditions to determine the length of the day and regulate their daily life. They predicted the weather with the help of experience or instinct. They believed that what can be seen in Persian literature about the characteristics of the days of the week is more accurate and prevalent among the Kurds. This research aims to descriptively - analytically examine the beliefs of the people of Ilam about the names of the years, some rituals and occasions of the annual calendar, days of the week, hours of the day, chronological tools, etc.
