A Model for Critical Success Factors in New Automotive Product Development Processes with DFX Approach
The purpose of this study is to present a model for key success factors in the design and development processes of new automotive products with the DFX approach. Due to the purpose and nature of this research in terms of method, it has been qualitative research. The statistical population of the study included university professors and senior managers of Sapco Research and Engineering Center and Iran Khodro Engineering Deputy. The sample size was determined until data saturation and the purposive sampling method was employed in the selection of samples. The results showed that the categories of the utilization of modern technologies, DFX components, human capital, facilities and infrastructure, cooperation and interaction, policies and rules, and organizational factors are the most important factors of success in the process of designing and developing new automotive products with the DFX approach. It is concluded that success in the design and development processes of new products in the automotive industry requires the satisfaction of a set of factors, in which the defect in each of them can affect the other.
