Valuation of sport as a public goods With the CVM approach(case study: Iranian Premier League clubs)
The purpose of this study was to evaluate sport as a public good with the CVM approach (Case Study: Iranian Premier League clubs). The research method was descriptive and was in the category of applied research. The statistical population of this study consisted of all the population of Tehran, Isfahan and Tabriz with unlimited number. Based on Morgan table and random stratified, the sample size was 385 for each team in each city and 1540 in total. To investigate the research variables, Humphres et al. (2018) questionnaire was used, which consisted of 15 questions with two values of yes and no. Inferential statistical methods of logistic regression and diagnostic logistic regression were used for data analysis by SPSS software. The findings showed that the variables of honor, encouragement, satisfaction, performance and interest as general components of soccer sport were more important than other factors in the tendency to pay for the community. Age groups younger than 30 and 45-31 and income groups of 5 million and 3-5 million are more likely to pay more for the title than other age and income groups. Overall, 0.40% were willing to pay for the title of football teams in the Premier League, with 0.60% reluctant to pay. The relevant authorities can help improve the performance of these teams with the full support of the country's soccer teams in terms of finances, technology, facilities, equipment, etc., and increase the overall impact of the soccer sport on various dimensions and components.
