Comparing Lifestyle and Psychological Well-being in Middle-aged and Elderly Women Participating and Non-participating in Cultural Programs
The aim of this study was to compare lifestyle and psychological well-being in middle-aged and elderly women both participating and non-participating in cultural programs in the local houses of municipal in Tehran. The design of descriptive research was of comparative type. The statistical society of the study was all middle-aged and elderly women participating and non-participating in cultural programs in the local house of district One of Tehran in 2018. Due to the nature of the research, the available sampling method was used that was consisting of 100 participating women (50 elderly and 50 middle-aged) and 100 non-participating women (50 elderly and 50 middle-aged). The study was conducted using the Miller and Smith Lifestyle Questionnaire and the Ryff's Short Form Psychological Well-being Questionnaire and Finally, data analysis was performed using variance analysis. The results showed that there was a difference between the lifestyle and psychological well-being of middle-aged and elderly women participating and non-participating in the socio-cultural programs of local house and the lifestyle and psychological well-being of women participating in cultural programs of local house are higher than non-participating women in the same age groups.
