Abstract:
Ali Akbar Ḥekamizadeh believes in the Qur'anic view of sufficiency in religion. According to him, the Qur'an is the only source that can be used to deduce religious teachings and rules and for all religious issues, only the Qur'an should be used. The adherents of this view denied the authority of the traditions, and Ḥekamizadeh also denied the authority of all the traditions in deriving the rules and religious teachings. He has dealt with this view in his book "Mysteries of a Thousand Years" and has cited arguments to deny the authenticity of the traditions. According to the preferred view, sufficiency in religion is invalid, and the argument for denying the authenticity of all traditions is rejected. This article tries to analyze, critique and reject Ali Akbar Ḥekamizadeh's views on the Qur'anic view on sufficiency in religion and denial the authenticity of traditions with a descriptive method. Although some scholars, including Imam Khomeini, have examined and criticized the issues raised by the "Mysteries of the Thousand Years", it seems that criticizing Ḥekamizadeh's view on the denial of the authenticity of traditions requires more extensive research.
