Entrepreneurship and Political Self-efficacy as a Measure for Organizational Transformations with Mediating Role of Political Perceptions of Military Commanders

Abstract:
Nowadays, military organizations are facing more and more diverse environmental changes, and the appropriate response to these changes is the basis of their authority and dynamism in the military arena. According to intelligentsia in political entrepreneurship management and political self-efficacy, political perception is the appropriate response to these changes, therefore, military organizations should make changes in their policies in accordance with environmental threats so that they do not lose their dynamism and become successful in their field. Unfortunately, no experimental research was found that examines the necessity of organizational transformations in the military environment, and study the impact of political entrepreneurship variables, political self-efficacy, political perceptions, and organizational changes. Therefore, this study aims to research the effect of entrepreneurship and political self-efficacy as a measure for organizational transformations with mediating role of political perceptions of military commanders of Nojeh Base in Hamedan. The statistical population included all the Air Force commanders of, and a sample of 220 people was selected. Four standard questionnaires included the political entrepreneurship questionnaire of Caparara et al. (2009), the political perceptions of employees Kacmar and Carlos (1997), the political self-efficacy belief of Brom et al. (2020), organizational change and transformation of Mill (2003) were conducted among 220 commanders of the Nojeh Base selected based on a simple random sampling. The content validity was confirmed by the experts and the reliability of the tools was reported as 0.90 for political perceptions, 86.0 for political self-efficacy, 0.86 for political entrepreneurship, and 0.80 for organizational transformations. Data analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results indicate that entrepreneurship and political self-efficacy beliefs have a direct effect on organizational transformations and an indirect effect on organizational transformations, through political perception.
