The Human Geography of the Shia on the Verge of the Occultation

There is not much information about the Shia, their cities and communities in the fourth Lunar Hijri century, mainly due to lack of interest in human geography among historians of that period. Nevertheless, examining various historical and geographical books, as well as the writings on hadith and the narrators (i.e. rejāl) of hadith, reveals some information that points to the status and significance of the Shia and their impact on the social and cultural developments of the Islamic world.
