Tehran mothers' exposure to virtual education of their children during the corona outbreak

The worldwide spread of the coronavirus and the importance of breaking the virus transmission chain has led to changes in people's lifestyles, including the change in students' face-to-face education to e-learning, which has challenged students and their mothers. Therefore, in order to discover the meaning, experience and action of mothers regarding the virtual education of their adolescent children, the present study with qualitative method (content analysis) examined the exposure of 15 mothers in Tehran who were selected through purposive sampling. The data collection technique was semi-structured questions in which five main topics were extracted, including students 'cultural and social harms, students' physical and mental health risks, e-learning inefficiency, perceived benefits of e-learning and the importance of social prevention. Finally, these findings and theoretical concepts of the research led to the design of a social prevention model (growth-oriented and community-oriented) that was not obtained in other similar studies. The findings of this integrated model showed that the correct guidance of students to make the most of this space by using content and quality programs can be effective in preventing social harms of cyberspace.
