An overview of Iran's legal convictions in the International Court of Arbitration for Sport

Today, professional sports have spread all over the world and international documents have also paid attention to sports. Holding numerous domestic and international sports competitions causes legal problems and contractual and non-contractual disputes that must be resolved by specialized sports institutions. In this study, the method of content analysis of the text type is used. In the present study, the opinions issued by the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) regarding cases related to Iranian sports were analyzed. According to the investigations carried out in the Supreme Court of Sports (CAS), cases related to Iranian sports are filed, which only bring costs. Examining the cases shows that Iranian football has a case in (CAS) on practically every issue. From three to zero in a game according to Iranian football rules, to the termination of contracts by players and coaches. The Supreme Sports Court is a place that is referred to as the highest sports judicial institution, but in Iran, the procedure has been different for years and goals other than Iran's interests have become the reason for referring to this court. There is a need for regulatory bodies to enter the cases that Iran has lost in international forums in recent years. Defending the rights of individuals and institutions in sports-related disputes resolution authorities requires having specialized knowledge and sufficient experience in this field.
