Investigating Electoral Behavior with Emphasis on Parsons AGIL Model (Case Study of Ilam Province)
Electoral behavior as a political action indicates a degree of political participation of the people in the social system. Electoral participation One of the most important forms of political participation has a special place in the sociology of politics in general and in the sociology of elections in particular. The aim of this study was to investigate the electoral behavior with emphasis on Parsons AGIL model (case study in Ilam province). The main method of research is survey. The statistical population of this research is all people over 21 years of age from all walks of life in Ilam province. According to the general population and housing census of 2016, 425,000 people have been estimated, which according to Cochran's formula, the statistical sample size is 385 people, multi-stage cluster sampling method and data collection tool, researcher questionnaire. has constructed. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to evaluate the reliability. The coefficient was calculated for all sections of the questionnaire above 70%. Data analysis was performed using Spss and Amoos software. The research findings indicate a positive and significant relationship between the systems (cultural, social, personality and biological) and the electoral behavior of Ilam citizens. In regression analysis, it was found that the system Culture with 61% and personality system with 22% have a direct impact on citizens' electoral behavior more than other factors.
