Study and analysis of women's suffrage in Islamic thought

Granting women the right to vote has been one of the most challenging areas of Shiite jurisprudence in the recent period and has been recognized in the present period, despite numerous ups and downs. From a jurisprudential point of view, since voting is considered a form of judgment and many Shiite jurists do not consider women's judgments to be correct, traditionally, Shiite jurisprudential authorities have been opposed to granting women the right to vote. In the last century, with the introduction of the electoral system in Islamic countries, the issue of granting women the right to vote was gradually raised. In addition to financial, economic, employment, and education rights, Islam pays special attention to women's political rights and provides legal personality for women in political and social issues because women have played a significant role in the history and developments of their society. In the history of Islam, there is a lot of evidence of women's involvement in political affairs.
