Abstract:

Saudi Arabia has always tried to counterbalance the Islamic Republic of Iran by using different methods and preventing Iran's power and influence in the region. One of the tools that Saudi Arabia uses to confront Iran is to balance and impede the institutional framework of regional organizations, including the Gulf Cooperation Council. Saudi Arabia, using the maximum influence among the member countries of the Council and the consolidation of Riyadh leadership on the council, is seeking to use this regional institution to counteract and counteract Iran's influence and prevent the Islamic Republic of Iran from penetrating the region, and its failures in The region will compensate for Iran with the broadening power and power of the council and its leadership over it. Therefore, the question posed for this research is: What is the role of the Gulf Cooperation Council in the Saudi approach to Iran? The article is that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is considered as a tool in Saudi Arabia to compete and continue to confront Iran.
