The Relationship between Emotional Maturity and Aggression in Students

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional maturity and aggression in students at Islamic Azad University.

The current research is a fundamental research in terms of its purpose. The research design is of the correlation type, in which the relationship between the variable of emotional maturity and aggression is investigated and determined using the correlation coefficient, and the limits of changes of one or more variables were studied with the limits of changes of one or more other variables. Statistical information was analyzed based on the data obtained after collecting the questionnaires using spss statistical software at two descriptive and inferential levels.

It shows that there is a significant negative relationship between emotional maturity and aggression (p < 0.01 and r = -0.52). Therefore, with 0.99 certainty, it can be said that the more emotional maturity students have, the less aggressive they are, and also the findings of the present study showed that there is a negative relationship between emotional maturity and aggression, which means that the higher the level of maturity If the emotional level of students is higher, their level of aggression is low and vice versa.

It can be said that emotions play a fundamental role in human life, and if they accumulate too much in a person, it will cause irrational behavior such as aggression. Therefore, aggression occurs when the balance between impulses and internal control is broken
