Predicting Career Success Based on Moral Intelligence, Compassion and Religious Beliefs in Counselors

Career success and promotions are among the variables for which a significant theoretical and research base has been provided so far. The present research was conducted with the aim of providing a predictive model of conflict management based on empathy, basic beliefs and emotional contagion in counselors, the mediator role: cognitive flexibility and social acceptance. The research method was cross-sectional correlation. All the official consultants of Yazd city formed the statistical society of this research in 1400. Due to the limited sample size, in this research, 120 people were selected by census. To collect information, four questionnaires were Nabi's career success scale (2001), Lennik and Keel's moral intelligence, Neff's self-compassion scale (2003), and Allport's religious orientation questionnaire (1950). Data analysis was done using Pearson correlation test and stepwise regression with SPSS23 software. The statistical findings showed that the career success of counselors has a significant positive relationship with moral intelligence, religious beliefs and self-compassion. Also, regression analysis shows that among the variables of moral intelligence; Honesty, responsibility and forgiveness, among the variables of compassion; The variables of self-kindness, self-judgment, isolation, alertness and increased identification, and among the variables of religious beliefs, external and internal orientation, predict the career success of counselors. As a result, moral intelligence, compassion and religious beliefs are among the important variables in predicting and explaining the career success of consultants in Yazd.
