Examining the relationship between antecedents and consequences of cultural competence (case study: doctors and nurses of public hospitals in Urmia)
The main purpose of the research is to investigate the relationship between the antecedents and consequences of cultural competence with the cultural competence of doctors and nurses in public hospitals in Urmia city.The current research is exploratory in terms of its purpose, in terms of quantitative nature and also in terms of the result of an applied developmental research. The statistical population of the research includes doctors and nurses of public hospitals in Urmia city of 300 samples. The reliability of the questionnaires has been confirmed through Cronbach's alpha, the composite reliability and validity have been confirmed through the convergent validity test. composite reliability, Kolmogorov Smirnov and binomial tests were used to analyze the collected data.The results show that the variables of cultural diversity with a path coefficient value of 0.706, cultural inclination with a path coefficient value of 0.175, cultural encounter with a path coefficient value of 0.046 and cultural humility with a path coefficient value of 0.379 have There is a meaningful and positive relationship with cultural competence. Also, the variables of sense of respect with a path coefficient of 0.315, job performance with a path coefficient of 0.360 and development of professional values with a path coefficient of 0.611 have a positive effect on cultural competence.Discussion and conclusion due to the importance of cultural competence in the field of health the level of cultural competence should be improved in order to establish effective communication.
