Investigating the effectiveness of reality therapy group program on reducing women's anxiety during pregnancy
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Reality therapy on anxiety in women during pregnancy. This study was a quasi-experimental method and was performed using pre-test and post-test methods with a control group. Thirty pregnant women who referred to Mashhad health centers were selected by available sampling method and were randomly divided into experimental and control groups. The instruments measured were the Wendenberg Pregnancy Anxiety Questionnaire. Anxiety level was measured with this questionnaire. The results of multivariate analysis of covariance showed that the mean anxiety scores of the experimental group in the post-test had a significant decrease compared to the pre-test and also decreased significantly compared to the control group. In other words, Reality therapy significantly reduced women's pregnancy anxiety and it is recommended to use Reality therapy in health centers and counseling centers to reduce women's anxiety during pregnancy. According to the authors of the present article, there has been no conflict of interest.
