Treatment on acceptance and effectiveness on compulsive buying
The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of treatment based on acceptance and commitment on obsessive shopping. For this purpose, in a semi-experimental design, 30 people were selected from among the people who had visited one of the health centers in Khoi city using criterion-based sampling method, and then they were randomly divided into two experimental and control groups. The research tool was Valens, Astos and Fortier's Obsessive Buying Questionnaire, which was implemented on both groups in two phases: pre-test and post-test. In this study, during 10 treatment sessions, the treatment approach based on acceptance and commitment was presented to the members of the experimental group, and during this period, no intervention was performed on the control group. In order to analyze the data, the method of analysis of variance with repeated measurements was used. The findings of the research indicated that the treatment based on acceptance and commitment has a significant effect on reducing obsessive shopping in the post-test and follow-up phase. According to the findings of the research, the treatment approach based on acceptance and commitment can be introduced as an effective approach in the treatment of obsessive buying disorder in a way that this treatment has a significant durability.
