Examining the role of the police in controlling chastity and hijab in the social security of society

Chastity and hijab in an Islamic society are considered as the main pillars of social security and as two important values. Chastity and hijab are considered important value phenomena and they are the most valuable cultural and social symbol in Islamic Iranian civilization emphasized in religious and Islamic teachings. Its dissemination and deepening requires correct culture and providing continuous and fundamental education. The problem of the increase of bad hijab and non-hijab in recent years has hurt public modesty and the police along with other responsible agencies, have duties specified in the law, so the role of the police as a guardian of order and security in the society has many positive and negative duties.The aim of this research is to investigate the role of the police in controlling chastity and hijab in the social security of the society, the method of this research is descriptive and analytical, and it is based on the method of library studies and the collection and compilation of information and date is made use of related specialized books and articles. The result shows that the police, as a governing organization plays an important role in maintain the social order and security of the society by reasonable control of chastity and hijab in the society. In general the plans and actions of the police are within the framework of the desired legal duties and sometimes he has acted beyond the performance of his duties.
