Abstract:
The government of Etedal appeared in a hopeful social atmosphere and handed over power in an atmosphere of despair and mistrust. The appearance of the government of Etedal, in terms of discourse, was dependent on signifer such as negotiation, tact, expediency, flexibility, rationality, reality and moderation. There was. However, public approval declined shortly after taking office and eventually reached an all-time low. The question is, can the trend of Etedal in Hassan Rouhani's government be considered as a discourse? And what will be the consequences of emptying the signifiers of this discourse? The hypothesis is that because the main signifiers of the current of moderation were emptied of their meanings for some reason, the discourse articulation process was not completed and the discourse stabilization did not take place; Therefore, the flow of moderation cannot be considered a discourse. The consequence of not stabilizing the discourse of moderation and marginalization of moderate discourses can lead to an increase in the gap between the people and the government and lead to progressive antagonism by reducing social trust and hope.
