Relationship between girls 'tendency to run away from home and increasing social corruption with families' economic situation in North Khorasan Province

Escaping girls from home in Iranian society because of religious, family and social norms, and values ​​is a social problem that leads to increased rates of social corruption (girls' gangs, prostitution, addiction, and so on).  The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between girls' tendency to run away from home and increasing social corruption with the economic status of families in North Khorasan province. The research was conducted using a survey method and researcher-made questionnaire "Girls' tendency to run away from home and increase social corruption" and a researcher-made questionnaire "Household Economic Status". After confirming the face validity, the reliability of the questionnaires was calculated 0.68 and 0.90 respectively using Cronbach's alpha test. The statistical population of the study was 67241 people including all girls from 10 to 14 years old who had never married and resided in North Khorasan province in 1997. According to krejcie and Morgan table, the sample size consisted of 342 people out of the whole population who were distributed among them through relative stratified random sampling method. The main hypothesis of the research was confirmed at the 99% confidence level. also there is a significant relationship at %99 level between the sub-components independent variables (Girls' tendency to flee home due to having stepfather or stepmother, Girls' tendency to run home due to academic failure and parenting blame, Girls' tendency to flee home due to parental harshness and punishment) and increasing rate of social corruption related to girls flee with the economic status of their families.
