Investigating the relationship between Bojnourd’s urban design with the level of social security of people.

Due to the fact that security is one of the most important human needs that affect citizens’ interactions and lives, the study of urban structure and image is of great importance. The purpose of this study was to “investigate the relationship between Bojnourd urban design and the level of social security of people” based on sociological approach. This research is conducted in a survey method. The population of the study consisted of 94457 households in all households in Bojnourd. The sample size according to Cochran formula is estimated at 382 families and the cluster sampling method is proportional to the size of the sample. The formal credibility of the information gathering tool (questionnaire) was evaluated by controlling the supervisor and related experts. The reliability of the questionnaire was obtained using Cronbach’s alpha method, which is more than 0.7. The questionnaire contains 45 questions, divided into two general categories. In the descriptive part, the abundance tables and charts related to the terms and variables were measured and in the inferential statistics section, using the Pearson correlation coefficient and linear multiple regression analysis of the relationships existing in the research model were examined. The results of the research indicate that the components of urban design can explain 29.9 variance in the sense of security of citizens in the city of Bojnourd. The variables of social trust variables (0.43 beta) were the most important factors in explaining the variance of social security.
