Studying the relationship between job motivation and job attachment with psychological well-being of police personnel in Bojnourd

The purpose of the present research was to study the relationship between job satisfaction and job attachment with psychological well-being of police personnel in Bojnourd. In order to conduct the research the survey method is used. Through cluster sampling method 260 police personnel of Bojnourd were selected as participant. To obtain the data, Ali-abadi et al. job motivation scale (2004), Rief psychological wellbeing questionnaire (1989) and Kanongo job attachment scale (1982) were used. The results showed that there is a positive significant relationship between psychological well-being with job attachment and job motivation (P<0.01). According to the results, there is a significant positive relationship between internal and external job motivation and psychological well-being variance (P<0.01). the results indicate the importance of job structures such as job attachment and job motivation in mental well-being of personnel. So, attention to the job properties of personnel, especially among the police personnel, is very important because of its occupational critical nature and its effects on society.
