Abstract:

Martin Seligman is one of the pioneers of positive psychology, who achieved significant success in this field with the slogan of trying to create happiness and well-being by relying on people's capabilities. From Seligman's point of view, treatment is not only limited to the improvement of diseases, but sometimes by strengthening positive attitudes and views, mental illnesses and weaknesses can be overcome and a sense of satisfaction with life can be achieved. In line with this goal, he presented the six virtues and pointed out that if people acquire these virtues, they can significantly overcome mental stress and experience happiness in life. Wisdom, courage, humanity. Justice, moderation and excellence are the titles of these virtues, which are divided into twenty-four subgroups.
