Explaining the dimensions, components and indicators of military forces (soldiers and commanders) from the perspective of Imam Ali (AS) in Nahj al-Balagha

Abstract:
Purpose
The purpose of this research is to obtain the dimensions, components and indicators of the Muslim military forces (both soldiers, staff and commanders) from the perspective of Imam Ali (AS) in Nahj-ul-Balagha.
Method
This research is of fundamental-applied type and its research method is qualitative content analysis. The method of research was such that first by examining the sermons, letters and wisdom of Nahj al-Balagha, the indicators of Muslim soldiers were determined.
Findings
The findings of the research showed that the components of jihadism, attention to subordinates, belief in divine help, obedience and obedience to commanders, appropriate military formation and non-aggression to the defenseless among other components have the highest score.
Conclusion
In Nahjul-Balagha, the lifestyle and image of the military and militarism have been fully explained. Therefore, Nahj al-Balagheh is a valuable source for compiling the indexes of Muslim soldiers, especially the military forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
