Job Involvement Status of Anesthesia Interns From Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences
One of the constructs of the work relationships is job involvement, which can increase motivation in workplace and ultimately improve work performance. This study aims to evaluate the job involvement status of anesthesia interns of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences (AJUMS).
This is a descriptive cross-sectional study. The study population consists of all students in anesthesia internship from AJUMS in 2022. The data collection tools included the Lodahl and Kejner’s job involvement scale and a demographic form. Data analysis was performed in SPSS software, version 16 using descriptive and inferential statistics.
The mean age of the participants was 22.4 years. The mean score of job involvement was 44.87±8.15, indicating a moderate level. According to independent t test results, there was no significant difference in job involvement based on demographic factors (P>0.05).
The job involvement of anesthesia interns from AJUMS is moderate, not high. Therefore, there is a need to improve their job involvement using educational programs provided periodically and continuously for anesthesia students.
