An overview of the role of metaverse in education

. The metaverse is a post-reality universe, a persistent and stable multi-user environment that merges physical reality with digital virtuality. This new science is based on the convergence of technologies that enable multisensory interactions with virtual environments and digital objects.
On the education side, Metaverse enables learners to participate in remote virtual classes while experiencing the elements of a real classroom. It allows organizations to provide better technical training and help them grow. The purpose of this article is to study research related to metaverse in the field of education and increase awareness about its origin and capabilities. This research has been conducted in terms of practical purpose, in terms of qualitative data collection and with a systematic review method. For this purpose, the required resources were searched from various databases using appropriate keywords. Then the documents found were analyzed. The results of the present study can be a guide for researchers to conduct further research in order to resolve research shortcomings and provide a single perspective for meta-education and distance education based on online metaverse
