Designing a policy model for the audio and visual content of national media with an emphasis on the fifth-generation internet
Since the national media in the Islamic Republic represents and propagates the ideology of sovereignty at home and abroad, policymaking is very important in this organization. This article was carried out with the aim of designing a policy model for audio and video content of the national media with an emphasis on the fifth generation internet. In terms of the purpose, this article is an applied-developmental research, and from the point of view of the data collection method, it is a survey-cross-sectional research. The community of participants in the qualitative section includes managers with experience of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace and the quantitative section includes media activists of the country. Interviews and questionnaires were used to collect data. The categories of the research model were identified by the grounded theory method and the final model was validated by the partial least squares method. Qualitative data analysis was done with Maxqda software and quantitative part was done with Smart PLS. Finally, through axial coding, 53 subcategories were obtained, which in 9 main categories include managerial factors, legal factors, technological factors, cultural factors, interaction with new media, national media policy, fifth generation internet, media social responsibility. National and audio and video content of virtual space were categorized. The results showed that according to the research paradigm, managerial, legal, scientific and cultural factors have an impact on national media policy making. On the other hand, the 5th generation internet provides background conditions and the social responsibility of the national media is also an intervening factor. Finally, with the strategies of interaction with new media, it is possible to develop the audio and video content of virtual space.
