Surveying and Comparing the Quality of Physical and Psychological Intrapartum Cares from Primipara and Multipara Mother's Point of View

Background and Delivery is one of the most important crises in woman lives, and because of its psychological, social, and sentimental dimensions, it will remain in mothers’ mind for ever, and if there is a bad adventure from delivery, it will have a bad effect on mother. While woman satisfaction of delivery is a very important factor in relation to her psychological and mental health, and her relationship with her husband, family and children, paying attention to this factor is very important, and it is proved that there is a direct relationship between the woman satisfaction and the care quality. So this research is accomplished by the purpose of determining and comparing the physical and psychological care quality intrapartum from primipara and multipara mothers’ point of view. This is a descriptive-analytic and cross-sectional research, that is done by quota sampling method, on 250 multipara, and 50 primipara mothers who were bedridden in postnatal wards, in Mashhad Educational Hospitals in 1381. The instruments utilized were interview form, quality measuring form, (Researcher made), and information recording form, that was filled from the patient’s chart.Data analysis were done by K2, T-test, one way and two ways variance analysis, Common linear tests, and by utilizing SPSS software, by %95 coefficient. Showed that 48% of primiparas and 54.8% of multiparas had elementary education, and 8% of primiparas and 2.8% of multiparas were employed.64% of primiparas and 68.4% of multiparas have referred to public health centers for being controlled of pregnancy and primiparas and multiparas assessed the physical and psychological cares in medium level (50.1-74.9). According to this matter that mothers in two groups assessed the quality of physical and psychological intrapartum cares in medium level, researcher proposes to more attention be paid to mothers physical care and psychological support.
