Compareing the Effect of " Group Discussion", " Role Playing", and " Lecture" Methods of Teaching on Changing Students", Attitudes towards the Value Aims in Theology Text- Book of Grade 1 of Guidance School

Abstract:
This article is compiled based on a research made by the writers.In this research, the effect of “group-discussion”, “role-playing”, and “lecture” methods of teaching on changing student’s attitudes towards value aims in theology text- book of grade 1 of guidance school is compared. The research methodology applied here is based on quasi–experimental method with “non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design”. The subjects are students of guidance school in the 7th district in Tehran. Cluster sampling was applied and participants were 796 male and female students. An attitude test was used for gathering data and a two-way ANOVA and T-tests were used for statistics analysis. The results showed a significant difference among the methods of teaching and also showed that group discussion method was more effective than the other two methods. Also, the results showed a significant difference between girls and boys.
