Geopolitical Weight and Regional Power System (Case Study: SouthWest of Asia)

Evaluation of the countries national power requires the assessment of different factors including economical, social, political, territorial, military, cultural, scientific, and international. The total scores of these factors could be used to assess the degree and level of national power of a given country. The calculation of geopolitical weight could help the authorities for policy making in variety of different issues. From a geopolitical approach, the evaluation of national power is usually considered as a challenging problem. Yet this paper attempts to propose a new model to calculate and to classify the geopolitical weight of the countries according to their social, political, cultural, and territorial, and other factors and indicators.
