Depiction of the Characteristics of Promised Future: Toward Quranic Model

Depiction of the future is a significant problem dealt with in futurology. It may be accomplished by two approaches: first to induce people to accept a future we have drawn(inductive approach), and second to follow the future drawn by a divine religious system of thought as an everlasting system, and draw one`s perspective consistent with it(insightful approach). The first approach has been illegitimate and is thought to be a vain attempt. Therefore, to draw a religious, yet reasonable depiction of the future, one must follow the insightful descriptions of religion about the future(insightful approach). All religions have a rich tradition about the picture of the future, and its characteristics. In this study we aimed at providing a distinct description of the promised future by Islam, rested on the Quran`s and Hadith`s subject-matters in this field.The depiction of the promised future in Islam is hopeful and vibrant. It promises the prevalence of virtue over vice and domination of justice.
