Survey of Self-employment in comparison with Paid Employment

This paper, with the use of theory maximizing utility and Micro data-the plan of sampling of household income-cost in 1997 and with the help of logit and probit models studies the characteristics of self-employmentThe result is that (probability) self-employment is increased with the level of income, age and the marital status and the number of members of household.The probability of self-employment is decreased with the increas of studies.Self-employment is higher among the rural inhabitants than urban ones and it is greater in males as campared with females 
