Georgia and the Process of Nation - State Building

Georgia after the independence has confronted internal crises and conflicts. Nation-state building process in Georgia has faced with great impediments and challenges. Republic of Georgia while in the way of nationalizing, has always confronted serious crises like national integration and coherence, national identity and political legitimacy. Facing these problems has made Georgia a weak state. The main challenges of Georgia are evident in ethnic fragmentation causing part of its territory away from control of central government. This article aims to analyze the nation-state building process in this republic with emphasizing on Eurasian nation-state building model.
