The Effective factors of Stream Bank Erosion (Case Study:Saeidabad-Chai Basin)

One of the geomorphological problems in the Saeidabad-Chai Basin is streambank erosion. This phenomenon wear out and take away the fertile soil. High lateral migration rates can threaten settlements, establishments, roads and bridges. Human increased prejudicial environment impacts of streambank erosion, through irregular interferences and unwiseness, occupy the physical system of river. This paper, tries to distinguish high hazard – low hazard regions, the point of view of the streambank erosion, with the investigation of mechanism and the effective processes in the erosion processes, with the use of GIS and Autocad map 2000, ARC/GIS and ARC/VIEW softwares. The regression analysis of longitudinal profile of stream channels was performed in the order to determine the state of fluvial system of Saeidabad-chai Basin.
