Author(s):
Abstract:
Athenian comedy based on a few ancient texts that is now available, is full of aspersion indecency against political characters and ancient Greek government. But because of this obscenities we should not consider this comedy as a worthless drama and not artistic. Aristophanes is the only comedy writer in the golden age of Greece that his works are available these days although his comedy is full of obscenities and sexual abuses but his dramatic style is full of complexities and that is why we can say his works are so remarkable. His works has become pattern for preceding centuries. This essay is about the origin and structure of comedy in ancient Greek drama
