Investigation & Analysis of Internal Strategic Factors for Obtaining Competitive Advantage

Abstract:
If the developing & under developed countries cannot identify their natural abilities and intuitive talents, then they would remain dependent on developed countries forever. Thus, developing and maintaining the competitive advantage as a key factor for their success in the national and international environments is unavoidable. The basic theory supporting this study is based on two approaches towards competitive advantage. These are: 1. Company based Resources Theory 2. Industrial Organization Theory The present study has focused on the resource oriented theory. According to this theory, there are two views regarding identification of internal strategic factors: 1. Functional Approach 2. Value Chain Approach Out of these two approaches, the present study has concentrated on the Functional Approach, and in the Functional Approach it has focused on Ratio Analysis. The main purpose of this study is to determine the effects of such factors as: ability of management, sales & marketing, finance & accounting, and production & operation for obtaining competitive advantage in Iran Khodro Co.
