Investigating effective factors on respecting pasture preserve period in Mazandaran Province (case study: Sari)

Regarding closure period is very important to conserve pastures and avoiding their demolition. 87 beneficiaries were interviewed in this study. Effective factors on regarding closure time and differences between various groups were analyzed using logit regression estimation and test. Results show that there is a significant difference between groups in regarding preserve time. Beneficiaries precedent, monthly income and number of livestock were known as the most effective factors among them, operation precedent was most elastic such that the probability of regarding closure period would increase by 0.283 percent while precedent increase one percent. In other words, regarding closure period would increase by 0.013 units if the time of operation increases by one another year. One Rial increase in monthly income and per mutton added to the herd would lead to increase in probability of regarding pasture closure period by the amount of and 0.008 units.
