A survey in ship production quality control whit profile monitoring

In many practical applications, the quality of a process or product can be appropriately represented by a functional relationship between a response variable and one or more explanatory variables, which is referred to as profile. It's needed to identify appropriate profile model that can be described quality characteristic and consider it to check process procedure. Therefore designing control charts as much qualified quality control tools which are able to recognize root causes in these profile models are necessary. Profile monitoring in quality control whit mathematics and statistics equations is used by different industries like NASA, but in ship industry there is no report that demonstrates profile monitoring is used in quality of a ship product procedure. Furthermore quality control in ship production is performing whit quality control inspection which is waste of time and money, so it's too vital to remove these defects. Most of part blocks can be modeled by two or more profiles like ship hull structure blocks in bow which can be described whit a polynomial model. In this paper, we gather different kinds of profile models that are used in different industries and are the same in ship industry and investigate some profile monitoring methods.
