Information Technology in High Schools of Markazi Province

Abstract:
The aim of this research was to study the optimizing methods and applications of information technology (IT) in high schools of Markazi province. It was an applied research and the method was descriptive. The population of the study included all the teachers working in high schools and pre-university schools (girls and boys) with various education statuses. Out of 880 teachers in region 1, 620 teachers in region 2, totally 1509, those with work experience of 20 years and more, totally 450, were selected. According to Morgan’s sampling table, 200 teachers were actually selected randomly as members of sample group. Research instrument was a researcher-made questionnaire whose validity was confirmed by teachers. Running non-parametric (Chi Square) indicated that teachers are the main factors in the development of IT in schools.
