A new method for industrial extraction of magnesium chloride from Urmia lake

In this project, extraction of Magnesium Chloride has been studied and a semi-industrial method, which uses calcimined dolomite, has been suggested. In order to determine the effect of different factors such as time, pH and etc. on the product yield artificial solution containing distinct of Mg2+ and So42- were prepared and then the best condition of extraction of Magnesium salt was studied. The real samples were prepared from Urmia Lake, and similar studies were performed on them. Measurement of Calcium and Magnesium ions existing in extracted samples has been done by employment of titration method
