Relationship between Self Awareness in Professional Setting with Job Satisfaction amongst sales managers of Iran's Institute of Industrial Management

One of the most fundamental assumptions of career advancement underlies the prominent role of self awareness in providing the individual with more job satisfaction. The paper explores the relationship between self awareness in professional setting and job satisfaction; therefore, 30 individuals were randomly selected among from the sales managers receiving educational training in Iran’s industrial management institute. The tools employed involved situational self awareness at work and job satisfaction and the obtained data was analyzed using correlation and regression methods. Results revealed that self awareness in personal setting is highly, positively correlated to job satisfaction and awareness in personal setting can be considered as one of the largest predictors toward job satisfaction, it can be concluded that acquiring more detailed knowledge relating to internal experience, feelings, emotions and one’s relation with others exerts positive effect upon individuals’ job satisfaction.
