A survey about perspective of ICT in rural development (A case study of Ferdows village)

Nowadays one of the key indexes of development, especially rural development in every society is information and Communication Technology. The final goal of this project is to examine the perspective of ICT in rural development of ferdows village based on the study of current situation about infrastructure facilities and available sources. The statistic society of the project consists of all the inhabitants of the village who are considered as ICT users, as well as the agencies of ICT centers. The sample included 25 users who were selected through non probability sampling. SWOT and Delphi method is used too. SWOT analysis indicates that the main strengths of the region were existence of communicational facilities and the large number of educated youths. The weakness points consisted of network management, Internet and software problems. Finally this matter leads to the development of modern technologies, participation and enablement of people. Also some suggestions are presented.
